Showcase Description

Stéphanie is a multidisciplinary artist focused on breaking societal taboos by addressing uncomfortable issues with humor and vulnerability, creating a trusting environment for her audience. Her critically acclaimed show, BLINDSIDE, is a genre-bending fusion of live video projection, comedic storytelling, dance, and puppetry, tapping into her audience's capacity for honesty, empathy, and openness. BLINDSIDE is a powerful exploration of normalizing disabilities and celebrating self-love. The show has been performed over 1,000 times worldwide in both French/English over the past 10 years. It has received numerous 5-star reviews, multiple awards, and consistently garners block booking tours wherever showcased.

Community & Educational Outreach

Storytelling, clown, contemporary dance, and solo show-building workshops are available in both French and/or English. These optional workshops can be tailored to the work presented.

With a focus on guiding participants to write and shape their own personal experience into a short comedy performance, a selection of these pieces may be invited to open a show. This offers locals the opportunity to share and connect with other members of their community and allows Stéphanie to bridge the separation between
'audience member' and 'performer'. Creating a safe place to share and promoting honesty, vulnerability and empathy in this way is an integral part of Stéphanie’s work. These workshops have been successful with adults and youth alike.

Is an outreach performance included in your mainstage performance fee?

Outreach activities are $500 each.

Additional Tech Requirements

I can be completely self-sufficient for my showcase and/or tours if need be, but being in a properly equipped theater is ideal. I've performed this in both a small black box and a 1500 seat theater setting - so everything is possible and the space needed is very flexible.
