Showcase Description

Lucas Miller presents multimedia, science-focused programs for PreK-6th grades. In this showcase, he will perform songs that reveal his skill across the spectrum of elementary ages and demonstrate his blend of video, music, humor, and creativity.

He'll start with his monarch butterfly song, featured in his program for primary grades. As he sings, he plays videos of every stage of their life cycle as well as the dazzling, “butterfly blizzards” seen in Michoacan, Mexico, during the winter.

Next up will be Lucas' ridiculous "Chimichanga Song," which is drawn from his program on adaptations for middle- and upper-elementary. Here, Lucas rolls up rubber chickens, roaches, asparagus, and more into oversized tortillas, making dishes fit for carnivores, insectivores, herbivores, and omnivores.

Lucas will wrap it up with the zany "Anaconda La Bamba," about the world's heaviest snake, and "Can You See the Connection?" about the interdependence of fruit bats, trees, and, yes, YOU.
