Showcase Description

As the showcase time is limited I will be demonstrating a sampler of what a full length show would look like. I perform with instruments that I made that emit light, sound and control visual animations. For this showcase I will set up my instruments and projector and will do an audiovisual interactive performance. I would play several shorter length pieces with interactive video to demonstrate what I do and the breadth of my artistry. My showcase will be dynamic, exciting and multi sensory due to the audiovisual nature. My performance is often of interest to students interested in STEAM and STEM learning. My performance is also popular with music students, people interested in synthesizers, music software, computer science, design, wearable devices and more. I would like to demonstrate this appeal in my showcase and show how unique my project is.

Would this artist like to be considered for Quick-Pitch?

Community & Educational Outreach

I offer a variety of community, educational and out reach programs, all related to STEM or STEAM education. I have conducted these programs for over a decade. My instruments utilize interactive microcontrollers and sensors, the type of technology is used in wearable devices, interactive art pieces and many computer science applications. I have given lectures on this subject to students of music , visual art and computer science. I also have lectured exclusively to music students on synthesis.
If participants have computers, I have also taught workshops teaching Pure Data software and basic music synthesis, which is the interactive music software I use to perform with.

Is an outreach performance included in your mainstage performance fee?

I would need an artist stipend for outreach activities, but I will offer this at a greatly reduced rate if a performance is booked. Promotion Publicity

I have an active and engaged social media presence, with over 2,000 instagram followers, 6,700 Facebook followers and 5,700 YouTube subscribers. I would make videos and fliers promoting any events and publish these materials on my social media accounts. I can also make a special video describing a specific event that could be helpful in attracting attentions, such as this video:

I can also reach out to media outlets in North Carolina for exposure.

Additional Tech Requirements

As specified in my tech rider, I need a surface to project video onto. A blank wall, or an LED video wall is preferred, but if none are available a projection screen can be used. If needed I can bring my own projector.
