Community & Educational Outreach

Grounded in a lifetime of Indian Classical (Carnatic) training and a Berklee degree, I navigate the space between South Asian roots and Western jazz seamlessly. I offer workshops that deconstruct the grammar and vocal styles of Indian classical music for any audience. These interactive sessions explore global commonalities, culminating in a participative song for everyone to sing and clap. I have led these workshops successfully nationwide while touring with the Grammy-nominated American Patchwork Quartet at institutions like Denison University and the Wortham Performing Arts Center and will be leading one in 2027 in Wilimington NC.

Is an outreach performance included in your mainstage performance fee?

Yes - we can do one outreach engagement as a part of our fee - can be a masterclass with students or an engagement with the wider community explaining how we create cross cultural dialogues through music.

Showcase Description

Our showcase is designed to demonstrate the expansive reach of Indian Jazztronica, weaving three distinct chapters of our repertoire into a cohesive narrative over a backdrop of atmospheric electronic textures.

The set opens with Thiruvizha, a high-energy celebration inspired by the vibrant village festivals of South India, reimagined through a driving electronic lens. This transitions into Mango Showers, a tribute to the Indian monsoon that fuses traditional solfege scats and sargam with blues-infused violin solos over a deep rock groove. We conclude the showcase with Magi, a mysterious tale of a traveling magician that serves as a global rhythmic bridge. This final piece pulls a thread through diverse cultures, blending intricate world beats with live audience participation and a climactic drum solo to leave a lasting, high-energy impression.
