Application Narrative
How is the proposed season different from past programming
Historically, Judith Arts Society was based in Hobson, MT and presented all of its concerts in the Hobson School Multi-Purpose room. We have changed our mission to utilize community halls throughout Judith Basin County as gathering places to experience the performing arts. This upcoming season we have added a third location, and plan to present a concert for the first time in Stanford, MT.
If you are taking an artistic risk in programming, what is it and why is it a risk?
We are focused right now on building new audiences, so we have not taken any new programming risks.
How is your performing arts series significant to your community?
The Judith Arts performing series gives people the opportunity to experience high quality performing arts in their own communities. It engages local organizations, businesses, and schools in hosting the performances.
What is the audience you wish to reach? (E.g., Describe your current audience or new audience segments you wish to target.)
We are focusing on reaching audiences in Hobson, Stanford, and Geyser.
How do you propose to reach this audience? (E.g., Describe program, operational, or marketing strategies that you will use to meet your goal.)
We designed our marketing this year to entice people to travel and attend all three concerts.
