Dynamic jazz vocalist Karla Harris has captivated audiences at events such as the Sarasota Jazz Festival, Portland Jazz Festival, Oregon Coast Jazz Party, Nantucket Arts Festival, Atlanta Jazz Festival, and a TED Talk. She has performed for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts as part of the Arts Across America live performance series, and in 2022 was awarded a distinguished Jazz Road grant through the South Arts foundation. She is works with the Kennesaw State University Jazz program teaching applied vocal jazz to young singers.

Be prepared for an evening of powerful, emotion-tugging vocals presented through straight-ahead and contemporary jazz, blues favorites, Latin hits, and a few originals. Think Nancy Wilson, Billie Holiday, Aretha Franklin and the Fifth Dimension all in one night. Community & Educational Outreach
Karla is an artist-in-residence at Kennesaw State University in GA where she teaches applied vocal jazz and performance to her students. She is a co-creator of a children's music education curriculum used in public, private and home-school settings across the U.S. This experience has caused her to be an in-demand musician/educator nationally. Her Jazz Discovery Series range from 1/2 day kid's camps to collegel level masterclasses. Several Arts Center's have had Karla create and lead 12-month, full spectrum educational outreach programs because they have seen the results. She is also has five CD's to her credit so is very familiar with the creative process ranging from songwriting to production.
Is an outreach performance included in your mainstage performance fee?
One 75-minute outreach program can be included with each performance. We can handle all ages (elementary school to college level master classes). Karla has an award winning outreach program named the Jazz Discovery Series and has presented these programs through the country.

Promotion Publicity
Karla's performance career resulted in her being 1 of 7 Atlanta individuals selected to be featured in her own 2024 documentary about her journey (in production).
She is also being honored by Atlanta Magazine's as one of their 2024 Women Making a Mark selections.
Additionally, she is a veteran at both live radio, podcast, phone and print interviews with all EPK and multiple high-resolution images (Color, B&W, posed or live-action) made available and easily fits with any marketing campaign.
